Paul Wayne Allen

February 10, 1960 - January 16, 2022

Paul Wayne Allen, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Born February 10, 1960 to Robert and Joan Allen, Paul was raised in Helotes, TX and grew up with a love of the outdoors. As a young man, he was an active member of the Alamo Area Council Boy Scouts, Troop 401, and achieved the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout in 1975. Following graduation from John Marshall High School in 1978, Paul went on to obtain his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University where he was the proudest member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 1987. For his entire life, Paul embodied the Aggie Spirit, with a loyalty and love for his alma mater that was unparalleled. While still in college, Paul began working full-time for the United Parcel Service (UPS) as a package car driver. Throughout his career, he continued to advance within the company due to his strong work ethic and leadership. In 2019, Paul retired from UPS following 32 years of dedicated service. Most importantly, Paul was a devoted son, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather. He was dedicated to his family and loved ones. Paul was always ready to play a game of Chess or Battleship and he relished those times spent camping on the Blanco River with his daughters. Paul’s list of life achievements were many, but above all else, his proudest titles were that of “Dad” and “Grandpa”. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joan Allen. He is survived by his daughters Amanda Honea (Scott) of El Campo, TX, Brittany Pizano (Arturo) of Houston, TX, and Brooke Bonds (David) of College Station, TX; grandchildren Luke Honea, Hadley and Quinn Bonds, and another blessing on the way; sister Jeanne Georg (Bobby) of Bulverde, TX; and many devoted in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Triska Funeral Home in El Campo, TX, with a Rosary at 10 am, Visitation at 10:30 am, and Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
