Rosie Mae Strnadel Pustejovsky, of El Campo, passed away January 26, 2022 surrounded by her family, at the age of 95. She was born December 29, 1926 in Hillje, Texas to the late Joe and Frances Jezisek Strnadel. Rosie attended the Plainview School and graduated from the eighth grade, then began helping in the fields. She married Alfonse J. Pustejovsky on November 26, 1946. She is survived by daughters, Romona Stepan and Pat Bannert and husband Allen; sons, Mark Pustejovsky and wife Marcile, Keith Pustejovsky and wife Cathy and Chris Pustejovsky and wife Laura; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Joe Strnadel, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Strnadel; husband, Alfonse Pustejovsky; son, Dennis Pustejovsky and sons-in-law, Roland Kacal and Bobby Stepan. She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, KJZT, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Monday, January 31 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Hillje with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Robert Kocian, Lane Foltyn, Paul Quinn, Harold Ray Wilcoxen, Cord Wilms, and Mitchell Whitley. Honorary Pallbearer are her grandchildren, Amy Bailey, Clint Kacal, Shawn Bannert, Brad Bannert, Ty Pustejovsky, Seth Pustejovsky, Paul Kocian, Chad Kocian, and Dustin Kocian.
