Patsy Ruy Sanders

Patsy Ruy [Boland] Sanders, a lifelong resident of Louise, Wharton County, Texas, and a Louise Independent School District retired teacher entered into eternal rest with her Heavenly Father at 6:25 PM, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2024 while in HER HOME WITH HOUSTON HOSPICE ATTENDING IN LOUISE, WHARTON COUNTY, TEXAS 77455. Pat was born August 29, 1935, in Palestine, Anderson County, Texas to the late Ruth Lois [Johnson] Boland and Ruy J. Boland. She is the Grand Daughter of the late Nellie Ellen [Hughes] Johnson and Albert Sidney Johnson, and Dona [Redman] Boland and Cassie Wesley Boland. Pat lived in Palestine, Texas during her first year of life, afterwards, her family moved to Louise, Texas where she has remained except for college and military purposes. Pat attended Louise public schools and graduated from Louise High School where she was active in band, choir, tennis. She was the Head Twirler and was chosen as the May-Fate Queen. She attended Wharton County Junior College and during the two years there, she was the Head Starlet, elected the Wharton County Fair Queen, and was inducted into the “Phi Theta Kappa Fraternity”, a National Academic Honor Society. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Pat returned to Louise, Texas where she taught at Louise Elementary School. She taught first grade, second grade, and special education throughout her thirty years of teaching. Pat is a lifelong member of her beloved Louise Methodist Church where she had served in the capacity as a Sunday School Teacher, a leader of the Methodist Women’s Circle, and as a member of the Administrative Board throughout her years in the church. In 1983 the Louise-Hillje Chamber of Commerce honored Pat with the “Educator of the Year” Award. Pat was an active member of the “Comfort Wood Chapter” [#6027TX] of the “National Society Daughters of the American Revolution” [DAR], and she also served in the office of Chapter Chaplain, and as Chapter Treasurer. She devoted much of her time and talents to Genealogy research and in helping others trace their Ancestral Lineages. Her patriot ancestor was Samuel Newton of Connecticut. She also enjoyed traveling and visiting Historic sites. Pat is survived by her loving and devoted husband of FIFTY [50] years, William “Bill” Charles Sanders, SR. of Louise, Texas; Son, Johnnie Ruy Gresham and wife Lanette Marie [Skrovan] Gresham of Louise, Texas; Daughter, Linda Sue [Gresham] Krauskopf and husband Bruce Krauskopf of Bay City, Texas; Stepdaughter, Susan Jeanette [Sanders] Tollefson and husband Steven Tollefson of Weatherford, Texas; Stepson, William Charles Sanders, JR. of Houston, TX. She is also survived by ten Grandchildren, Jordan Gresham and wife Kylee [Corbett] Gresham of El Campo, TX.; Lauren [Gresham] Zboril and husband DR. Clay Zboril of El Campo, TX.; Shea Krauskopf and wife Jordan Leeann [Ross] Krauskopf of Bay City, TX.; and, Mandy [Reese] Voldan and husband Heath Voldan of Wharton, TX.; Misty [Reese] Joyce and husband Michael Joyce, SR. Of Wharton, TX.; William Turner Sanders of Houston, TX.; Shelby Tollefson, of Weatherford, TX; Zachary Tollefson and wife Noy of Meridian, ID; and Austin Tollefson, of Cleburne, TX.; Lauren [Tollefson] Radford and husband Commander Terrell Radford of Chesapeake, VA. Seventeen Great- Grandchildren, Cameron Cox, Cayden Voldan, Karli Joyce, Khloe Joyce, Tristan Voldan, Jordan Voldan, Michael Joyce, JR., and Jacob Joyce all of Wharton, TX.; Tripp Radford and Trinn Radford both of Chesapeake, VA.; and, Liam Manning Gresham, Adelynn Rue Gresham, Owen Ellis Gresham of El Campo, TX.; and, Jack Edwin Zboril; and, Vivienne Marie Zboril, of El Campo, TX. and, Zoey Rae Tollefson of Meridian, ID; and Georgia Delores Krauskopf of Bay City, TX. Also numerous Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, and a host of loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruy J. and Ruth Lois [Johnson] Boland; and Brother, DR. Sidney Wesley Boland, PhD.; and, his wife Ona Faye [Williamson] Boland; and Sister-in-law Edith Ann [Sanders] Ballou; and, Emma Lee [Sanders] Gay; and, First husband, Johnnie Maurice Gresham. Family visitation will be MONDAY, DECEMBER 9th, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at TRISKA’S FUNERAL HOME, 612 MERCHANT STREET, EL CAMPO, WHARTON COUNTY, TEXAS. 77437 [1-979-543-3681]. Funeral services for PATSY RUY [BOLAND] SANDERS will be held at LOUISE METHODIST CHURCH, 207 N. CENTER STREET, LOUISE, WHARTON COUNTY, TEXAS. [77455] ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10TH, 2024 AT 10:00 AM. Services will be officiated by : REV. PAUL BEARD Minister of : LOUISE METHODIST CHURCH, LOUISE, TX.77455. Active Pall Bearers: Shea Krauskopf, Jordan Gresham, Cayden Voldan, Cameron Cox, Terrell Radford, Zachary Tollefson, Austin Tollefson, Clay Zboril, William Turner Sanders. Honorary Pall Bearers: All of her former Louise Elementary Students.Interment will follow immediately at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Loop 525, El Campo, Wharton County, Texas. All friends and relatives are invited to a reception at the Louise Methodist Church, 207 Center Street, Louise, Texas. Memorials may be made to the Louise Methodist Church, P.O.
